10/17/13 scary story

hi, its my first random post. today its a creepy story I wrote myself, since Halloween is just around the corner. nice comments only plz and , plz ask if you'd like to use it somewhere. I'm starting this new blog fresh, clean and hate free and I'd like some nice new members too.

one cool fall day,in October two girls where bored and decided to go biking down the old bike path. it was 5 minutes away from home, and it was the easiest option so they got on and took off. One girl was named Madi, and the other was Gabby. Gabby was 12, and Madi 13. They had been friends since Madi moved in next door. They took off biking with Gabby's border collie Dottie running on her leash along beside them. Madi rode ahead, and they raced onward, on the path which went by an old cornfield which hadn't been plowed and harvested in  years, with a waning sign that read "private property, do not enter unless you dare". Nearing the end of the trail, Gabby noticed a thunderstorm was coming in fast. "Let's head back Mad," she called. Dottie barked and yipped in fear as it came closer. "We won't make it back before the storm hits," Madi called back. Dottie yelped as the lightening flashed and the thunder roared. "Let's find a shelter," said Madi, pushing through the wilted old corn, leaving her bike behind. Gabby followed, leaning her bike against Madi's and the bench, although when she questioned the sign Madi just answered "Would you rather be hit by lightening? I heard their is an old barn here somewhere, let's find it". Dottie lead them through the thousands of dead stocks, as the rain started pouring out of the clouds, making the dry corn under their feet squishy and sticky. Dottie headed onward with Madi holding Gabby's shoulder and Gabby holding Dottie's tail. They came upon a scarecrow, with a harsh, cold dead stare in it's eyes. They decided it was freaky, and to head in the other direction. The thunder roared and Dottie took off alone in fear. Gabby grabbed Madi, and together they called for Dot, but they were muted out by the sound of the thunder and strong bursts of wind. Somehow they got back to the scarecrow, this time it had an evil grin on it's face. Madi shrieked and Gabby ran, Madi following after. Without turning back they knew it was on their tail. They started seeing white figures swooshing back and forth everywhere. They heard the sound of an older man laughing evilly as they started getting cornered. They took off once again, getting tired by the second. The fear was the only thing that kept them running. They didn't know where to go,they didn't know what to do. Dottie eventually made it out, and waited by Gabby and Madi's bikes for them to return. They never did. Dottie had to head home without them. And they were never seen from again.
